Our massage therapist consults with each patient to indentify problems areas, discuss any concerns and deliver a massage best suited for the patient.
Therapeutic Massage addresses the medical reasons why muscles are sore and tight, and will alleviate the problem through techniques such as neuromuscular, myofascial release, and deep tissue massage. Massage oils or creams are used to fascilitate these techniques. Therapeutic massage is often given on a regular basis for acute or chronic health conditions, such as headaches or back pain, and has been used in palliative care for relief from cancer treatment symptoms.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Manual lymphatic drainage is a medical treatment that uses light pressure with a gentle, rhythmic touch to increase the flow of lymph and reduce toxins in the body.
Lymph is a fluid that the body uses to help immunity and fight infection. Lymph moves nutrients and oxygen to cells and flushes toxins through the lymph nodes, which are filters for the blood.
Lymphatic drainage can help reduce suffering from minor colds and viruses. It can also help speed up the recovery process of a low immune system, help reduce water retention, improve metabolic rate, improve the appearance of the skin and speed up the healing of scar tissue.
